At Aarhus CrossFit, we offer more than 80 classes a week, so no matter your age, height, build, gender and various ailments or injuries, there’s a class for you.

Below you can read a description of our teams.

We look forward to training with you at the harbor!

Beginners Class

Beginners Class is for those who want a more personalized introduction to CrossFit.
It is a 4-week program designed to introduce you to the basic movements of CrossFit and the foundation for living a healthy and active life – so that you can experience great success in your future CrossFit training.

You can register either at the reception or by writing an email to reception@aarhuscrossfit.dk.

Cardio WOD

Our Cardio WOD class is really, as it sounds, primarily cardio.

There will be no heavy lifting, but there is more focus on machines and bodyweight exercises.

Endurance

Our Endurance classes are for those who want an extra challenge in their training.
These classes always take place outside and can be longer than the usual WODs.

In addition, there is always a focus on challenging the individual’s endurance.

Fight Gone Bad

Fight Gone Bad borrows its structure from Ultimate Fighting, so you train for 5 minutes non-stop (1 minute on 5 different exercises), followed by 1 minute break.
This is run between 3 and 5 times.
In a Fight Gone Bad you try to train at all levels to mimic the unpredictability of a fight – but you don’t get hit!
The only opponent you have is yourself.
Although there is an original Fight Gone Bad, this class will use a variety of exercises freely, so only the structure of the WOD can be expected.

How did it feel?

Like a fight gone bad!

These were the words when Coach Gregg Glassman asked UFC Lightweight Champion BJ Penn how the program he had just put him through felt.
On the FGB team, the motto is: We are together to fight ourselves!

Gymnastics

In the Gymnastics class we work on the gymnastic movements of CrossFit such as kipping alone, muscle-ups with both strict and kipping, pistols, handstand/handstand walk and handstand push-ups.

In addition to this, we also sometimes challenge ourselves with movements outside the CrossFit world and do things like meat-hook, dragon pistols and headstand – and everyone can join in!

Sign up and be challenged.

Introtime

We have Intro classes every Tuesday 19.00-20.30 & Sunday 13.00-14.30.

Would you like to try CrossFit to find out if it’s really as hard and difficult as everyone says?

Psst… It’s not!

Regardless of your age, height, build, gender, ailments or injuries, ALL exercises can be customized to suit you and your pace.

Competition teams

Aarhus CrossFit’s competition team workouts are for those who want to try their hand at competing in CrossFit.

There are certain requirements to join the classes, which you can find out more about by contacting reception@aarhuscrossfit.dk.

Masters

If you’re over 45 or feel like it, come to Masters.

It’s still going to be challenging, but we emphasize scaling, so grab your husband or wife and come down to the harbor.

Talent team

Aarhus CrossFit’s talent team trainings are for those who want to try their hand at competing in Crossfit.

There are certain requirements to join the classes, which you can find out more about by contacting reception@aarhuscrossfit.dk.

Team WOD

At Team-WOD you can try a great buddy workout with some of your fellow CrossFitters.
You will be 2, 3, 4 or more together – it will be different from time to time.

There’s no need to find partners in advance, just show up and you’ll be divided into teams for the class.
WOD stands for Workout of the Day, and as the name suggests, it’s a new challenging workout every single time.

In addition, we recommend at least some basic training before participating in Team-WOD.

VL (Weightlifting)

The VL class is for those who want to get better at weightlifting.
The classes will work on flexibility, technique and strength, which will make you better at the pull and thrust exercises.

The training will be characterized by the principle “quality over quantity”.
This means that it’s not just about lifting a lot of kilos, but a lot of emphasis is placed on how the kilos are lifted.
On the VL team, there is room for everyone regardless of level.
Both new, experienced, young and older lifters are welcome.

The class will be structured with a weightlifting-specific warm-up and stretching, followed by a large technical part, where there will be a lot of focus on partial exercises, but also on the full lift.
The last part of the class concludes with a strength section that includes relevant strength exercises in relation to weightlifting.

WOD

WOD stands for Workout of the Day, and as the name suggests, it’s a new challenging workout every single day.
Of course, you have the option to scale the exercises so that everyone can participate.

All WODs are carefully thought out to provide a varied workout. This means that in principle, you can participate every day without training the same muscle groups several days in a row.

Yoga

Yoga is built around exercises for flexibility, balance, strength, endurance and relaxation.
Yoga is for those who want to increase body awareness, promote body recovery, prevent injury, reduce stress and relieve tension.

The focus throughout the class is on breathing, body control and inner peace to increase the connection between mind and body.
Yoga is for everyone – regardless of age, gender, size, experience, strength and flexibility.
Participation in the class only requires that you want to challenge yourself and your body, and that you dare to listen to your body’s signals and respond honestly to what it tells you.
The class will vary in content and focus from time to time.

Young Guns

Our Young Guns class is for children and young people aged 10-16 years.
Here, young people learn to challenge themselves physically with a mix of weightlifting and CrossFit.
Although the focus is on physical training, the training is still done through play, where the main goal is to create the joy of movement.
